Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December 1991. Matthew Matt James is a mixed-race son of Manny James (of Jamaican descent) and Patty James. He is the son of the Nigerian father as well as a Caucasian mother. After graduating at Sanderson High School, in 2010, he attended Wake Forest University and obtained the Bachelor's degree in Economics. James' fame kick-started when he made his on-screen debut on the reality TV star in The Bachelorette. James was chosen in 2020 as the bachelor of the year in The Bachelor season 25, making him the first African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James was a perfect fit for the role because he is handsome well-rounded tall and has a good sense of humorous. Rachael Krakconnell, who was his partner throughout the season. In the following year, 2021, he got a partner with the renowned dancer Arnold to compete in the season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold came 12th.
